Bill Giles grew up on a farm in rural Ireland. During his childhood Bill can remember many sweet treats. Whilst he had the usual gorgeous homemade biscuits and cakes there were other delicacies, known today as tray bakes- these are a mixture put into a tray, left to set and then cut into generous pieces. They are very economical. In fact Bill’s mother always made everything in a square tin so it could be cut into more pieces and last longer- This book lets you learn from the Mammy’s of Ireland!Table of Contents:Introduction-Ingredients-Equipment-Chapter 1Tray bakes… made with no cooking.Chapter 2Tray bakes to cook in the oven-Chapter 3Cakes-Chapter 4Puddings-Chapter 5Loaves and Breads-Conclusion- Sweet Treats!
